I bet! I ran FD for years early on from when I first joined Fidonet until maybe about 8 years later :) One of the first things I set up for FrontDoor was the cost table to prevent high cost calls (I think that is what that table was called <g>). In the state where I lived (New York State) Long Distance calls were astronomical at the time... Dialing across State lines was cheaper than dialing a town an hour away.. (how times have changed now <g>).

In Zone 1, points never took off like they did in Zone 2, but several us had a good number of them. I still have several active points but not as many as I had early on.
