Well, Sweden is closer to Russia than Canada, and we have the FRA that spies on almost all Russian international internet traffic (almost all of it passes Sweden) on behalf of the NSA, so I'm not totally convinced. :)

OK. Good to hear. From what I've seen on CNN, NBC and a few other US news channels, the reports on Putin has been very "flat". Not mentioning things like he's one of the richest men in Russia (it sure as hell is not because he has such a high salary) or that some 100 friends and relatives of his have gotten very lucrative positions.

Exactly. The leaders of the female gay organisation (whose name I've forgotten) was sentenced to several years in prison. Not very liberal...
