I don't know about your book, but mine says that daily means once per 24h.

Yes, a daily list that was produced exactly the same way as the regular diff and file, and at the exact same time of the day, only seven rather than one times a week.

Don't give me that crap! I never said I had problems with it. On the contrary (since I use exactly the same file processor as Ward, and even helped him set it up a decade or so ago), all the dups are properly detected here and discarded.
What I'm starting to understand is what Benny has been reporting for years now, and we all tried to make it look like it was his system that was in error. Just as you now are trying to make it look like it's my system that is not functioning properly.
