Financially speaking, the UK is a net contributor to the EU economy. Not as much (per capita) as the five largest: Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Germany but on the seventh place after Belgium.
Only twelve (all of them in the northern part of our union) out of the 27 union members are on the positive side, the rest are -- well -- leaches to put it bluntly.
So our UK brethren may have a point, and I think it's unfair to call them the bad boy in our union.
As Ward and I often have agreed upon, a North European Union would benefit us tremendously.
