MvdV>>> I wonder... will the UK license plates with the blue rectangle and MvdV>>> the twelve yellow stars all be replaced?
BF>> LOL! Good question. Another one is when will the license plates in the BF>> rest of the union get a blue rectangle with (now) 27 stars?
WD> Ain't gonna happen [my appologies David Rance for the Americanism].
No need to apologise. Some of these Americanisms are so much more concise than the plum-in-the-mouth British ones.
WD> Cameron will resign,
Yes.
WD> there will be elections,
Eventually, yes. Sooner or later. But not much later.
WD> new government will drop it [if they have half a brain]. It's too WD> detrimental to the UK's economy.
I and (it seems) most of the country wish they could but they won't be allowed to. Cameron will be replaced with a Brexit supporter. Though who that'll be we just have no idea. The Conservatives are in complete disarray. Labour is not much better and demanding that Jeremy Corbyn resign as their leader. The Liberal Democrats will not recover sufficiently to be able to do anything. Nicola Sturgeon is looking into the possibility of another referendum to break away from the UK and *will* hold it if she can be sure of winning. After all, the reason Scotland voted to stay in the Union was so that they could continue to be part of the EU.
What a mess!
WD> If they don't drop it, Nigel Farage eventually will be lynched.
Farage is responsible for this whole farrago. He's a buffoon but isn't clever enough to get any further and hasn't enough support or policies to form a government. Boris Johnson is that dangerous sort of buffoon, a clever one. Our ex-Fidonet sysop might well be in contention to be the next prime minister but I sincerely hope he isn't. Watch this space ......
It would be no exaggeration to say that the mood of the UK is that of dismay. No-one expected it to turn out like this, least of all the Brexit supporters. All those I've spoken to are very depressed. As am I.
Thank goodness my wife isn't alive to witness this. It would have broken her heart.
