The stock exchange is first of all not the least significant to me, John Doe or our everyday life. They are exactly like the odds on your nearby horse track. Bet on the Swedish Krona and you get your odds, bet on the UK pound and you get another odds. Did you win or did you lose?
Second of all, any Secretary of Finance that even gives a second though about the stock market IS just a part of a bookkeeper sham. If he or she should ever make any federal decision based upon the stock market exchange (s)he would hopefully be replaced ASAP.
BTW, the stock market albeit dropped a lot, almost all over the world, yesterday, but went up almost as much today. Go figure...
