I know that you've always been keen for me to do this, but I can't do it too often otherwise people will get annoyed with me. And quite rightly, too!
Just occasionally I chip in, especially when it's something which comes up often but, on the whole, the standard of English here is pretty good. Most of you speak (write!) more fluently in English than the average UK person can speak (write!) another language.
Did you see the final at Roland Garros? Novak Djokovic made a speech in pretty good French, which must be at most his third language. Andy Murray apologised for not being able to speak in French - and yet that is the first foreign language taught in UK schools!
