Of course they are listening different ip address or port.
Are you running Argus and BinkD at the same computer? If so, you can tell Argus to listen port 24554 and Binkd to listen port 24555.
I've been using dual-mailer for years. Binkd/2 has been answering binkp calls and Xenia/2 has been answering telnet and vmodem calls.
Recently I have added third mailer (BinkD/Win) to answer ipv6-binkp calls.
