or java got bumped so much that webpam did not countinue to work with promise nas boxes, solution came in the way promise solved it with buildt in java so it was never updated more, saved even ram on the nas to be less usefull, sadly :(
for linux its was just rs232 and later just telnet to console on it, and it did not use more ram on the nas box at all, but windows could properly not handle telnet in w3.1 :=)
