yep this is the point, when there was one it was simple, today nearly every node is a selfmaintained backbone, with there areas and policy of shareing

back to problem to solve, what is the backbone ? :/
i just remove echomail where i am the only subscriber, and there is no echomail for long time, wether its backbone problem or gost connections if more did that dead areas would ceeise faster
