long time ago, where I'm at my home office, I had long winter nights to program and compile a lot of quick-and-dirty tools that did much a lot of that old stuff, to repair others mistakes or to fix, what others aren't able to do ...
by the time the system becomes more complex ... exceptions over exceptions ... today I'm going the other way around ... what doesn't fit to the default, has to wait for a long time to become fixed ... maybe one day in the future ?!?
currently my spare time is limited (as Bjoern still noticed, there is still life outside fidonet :D ) and so, as long there is not much a change in configuration (new region? add new region number to the default processing) the procedures runs smooth as deployed 10 years ago ...

similar to Michiel's plmake, I use a self written fork of plmake (plmakecl) in another programming language then C ... developed 6 years ago as plmake stopped working on my machines, and one revision before that did running on my machine, that source code was lost :-P so I've decided, to rewrite the software in another programming language that I've started writing fido software back in 1990 ... :D
