You're making up things you maybe did think but not write. See above: you wrote about an (arbitrary) "referendum on a specific question". You did not say "national referendum on any question".

They exist in every state. Please get your facts straight and read at least the wikipedia articles I cited.

Again: please get your facts straight. I already wrote that there have been numerous attempts to change this. The latest (by SPD and CSU in 2013) was blocked by the CDU (and only by them). Moreover, I explained why I think (in contrast to what I would have said about this 20 years ago) that this is not something we need now.
