Yeah, any publicity is good publicity. But that's the way Johnson, Farrage and others got where the are now. And look at Ms. LePen. Even Germany has a new generation of nationalist politicians. The last one (around 1990) failed and was never heard of again. But who knows what will happen with the recent one?

This is probably what most people would have said about Brexit until a few weeks ago. That is what was said about Trump a few months ago. You never know. Everybody should stay vigilant and do what is possible to reveal into which direction these people are heading.
FidoNet is actually a great media to stay in touch with /real/ people in other countries. It gives you the opportunity to discuss in a much deeper fashion than more modern media like Twitter or Facebook do. Sometimes I feel sad because there are not so many people around here than there used to be in the mid 1990ies.
