FTTH is sparse here (although not non-existent). The situation is certainly special, although I won't join Bobs generic rants about the partly federal-owned DTAG. No private company will put up expensive new infrastructure if there is no ROI in sight, either. I wonder how this is done (especially in more rural areas) in Sweden. Who pays for the network hardware, who owns and maintains it?
