Both use the same infrastructure, i.e. lines and routers. The only difference is that a full BGP table has 450k IPv4 routes and 30k IPv6 routes. But since most routers use packet switching of some sort, there aren't any large processing penalties. Maybe, if the router has two separate output queues for IPv4 and IPv6, and taking the lower volume of IPv6 traffic into account, IPv6 packets might be forwarded sooner, since there are more packets in the IPv4 queue than in the IPv6 one.
