That's why I say it didn't work. And it didn't work because it's de facto impossible without the impetus from the country involved. If it wants to stay, it stays. And since everyone understoof that, there was no ineffectual drive to expel Greece - it would have ended in failure and left those who initiated it in the position of outsiders seeking to destroy the EU.
