If you're going to joke this way, let's get it right. "Estados Unidos" is the proper Mexican (Spanish) term for the USA. It's a literal translation for "United States".

Are you serious? Who initiated and drove the "industrial revolution" for centuries, then? Russia? The USA? No, it was Great Britain in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Much has changed since then, and the UK is now on the metric system, but that hasn't led to any new "industrial revolution". I think you interpret too much into the systems.
