If you write the "facts" - better: hypotheses - that's doubtless true. But as the war has been over for over 70 years, we'll never know, will we?
RB>> [JFK]

If you were scared, I certainly was not. But you were attempting to transfer that fear to the USA. The assissination was a shock, surely, but not the "state putsch" you may have thought it was. Presidents come and go. It's not like in Europe. People are used to presidential administrations of 4 years (to a maximum of 8 years) in the States).
That's reflected in the presidential succession rules in the States. The president isn't a dictator, and the country doesn't collapse if he dies. There have been several prescedence cases. Presidents aren't prime ministers and don't serve for only a limited period in the States. A president dies, OK, it's not nice, but the country doesn't collapse.
WD> I can turn that 180 degrees around and declare you have no idea what WD> that all did to us. You didn't live here during the Kennedy era, I WD> did.
Only problem is, I lived in the States, you lived in Belgium. All the difference in the world.
I suppose the South Koreans and Japanese feel a bit differently about North Korea than you do, too.
