Not really. Never heard of "black humor"? It was popular in the 1970-1980s.
An example:
"Even people who are good for nothing have the capacity to bring a smile to your face, for instance when you push them down the stairs."
I can remember one where the punch line was "Shut up and row", but can't find the entire joke anymore, nor do I remember the rest. But it was in the same vein.
