That's all very interesting, I'm sure... but just what significnce does it have for us normal human beings? Neither the voltage, nor the frequency are _precisely_ 220VAC nor 50 Hz here in Germany, and nothing earth-shaking occurs.
So aside from theoretical and/or precision scientific considerations, just what does all this mean for _us_?
