That won't be possible, Ward. I worked on such things a few years back, and managed to digitalize some VHS material I had (with a Terratec Grabster), but the quality isn't anywhere near what you would expect today. VHS is simply nowhere near HD quality. If you're talking about Super-8 films or the like, it's a real job to transform them into a digital clip, and not something that an amateur like us would care to begin. In that case, I'd look for a commercial company that does such work. That's not cheap, but the results are good (although probably not HD quality). My only worry there would be that old films could be damaged, but that's something that sometims can't be avoided.
