Ecomstation is a very minor derivative of IBM OS/2 Warp 4.5.
Had a look at it (v2.1) last year and could not see any real changes other than for drivers and other very small areas.
It still has the Windows v3.0 code cluttering up the system, still only supports 16 & 32bit addressing. It is a dodo and yes I starting using it with v2 and only moved to Linux when IBM refused the community to maintain it and strip out the Windows code. We had a full blueprint of works to do to it over time but was ignored for what ever reason IBM sub exec gave.
Now it is maintained (sic) by a small company with regard to development who changes silly money for very minor updates. I have to assume that things have not changed in the year or so since.
In the mean while file support for both OS/2 and Ecom is fully covered with the GFD file stream from many German and Russian (and others) programmers.
I distribute this network and it is always fairly busy.
Just cannot see any use for OS2Net being revised, heck it died a death due to lack of usage and any revival would just duplicate the GFD file network.
As for Filegate's OS2 offerings (in English), that has all but died.
What do you want to do next, resurrect the CPM/MPM areas ?
