Well, following the 'normal' processes they should have been removed after a month or two unless there was special reasons for them being offline.
In my case I remove them by remarking them out with a date then 1-2 months or so later, just delete it.
So far no one has come back but it could happen I suppose.
Six months plus is way too long for removal.
