Sorry, but a Node which is undiable, should be an unpublisched PVT system, or a Point, it does not qualify to be a Host. It offers no services as a "real" HOST as my node can not crashpoll it. I donot have the to do that, but in theory it should be possible, at least for routed mail to other nodes in that netsegment he is the "host" of.
00-00-000000 is not a valid phonenumber and can give trouble in some countries to the emergency officers, that has been proven in the past. If there is no analogue modem connected to it, why can not be the baudrate zero?, because that is the real practise. You know all computers start counting at zero ;-).
Where in the FidoNet documents is mandated that my Node should be updated and also and/or (only) contactable by other means, i.e. ip, than by an analogue modem?
For your information, I am busy to find a way to be contactable by ip.
