It does not matter wat he wants, but what the majority of the people wants. Indeed the current president is too weak. Freedom can be delayed, but not stopped. So at the long run the people will win. Sadley that it costs many lives before that point is reached, and for what? Only for the power of some people who do not deserve it. We hope they found a way to come out this silly "war".
