The current nodelist lists 90 nodes as on Hold and 89 as Down. The can be many reasons, why a node should be marked as Down or as on Hold. But I always onderstood, that there is a limit for the time a node can be listed as such. There is a limit to how long inactive sytems can stay in the nodelist.
As an example, I came across net 2:4647. The last change to that net segment was on 22-03-2013
Node 2:4647/14 marked Down on 22-03-2013 Node 2:4647/15 marked Down on 07-12-2012 Node 2:4647/34 makded Donw on 22-03-2013
There are no other nodes in that net, other than the net host 2:2647/0
The sad thing is that this is not an exception, there a nodes that have been Down since 2010.
I think some RC's are not taking their task sereously.
Just an observation of a ordinary nethost.
