That is debateable, but is not a good practice to put confusing data in that filed. Some follow the rule, if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.
Anyway it is confusing to use apparent hostnames in the fidonet.net domain. The bad point is that anyhostname.fidonet.net always returns a valid IP address.
I have seen sysops use the system name and a INA: to list a dualhomed node, so apparently there is software that does not ignore a hostname in the system field if a INA: is given.
