I have not researched the details, I only go from memory. In the 198ties, the DKK, SEK and NOK were between 0.30 to 0.40 to a DFL. If I remenber well the DKK had the lowest rate, But I can be confused by the then existing price levels. When travelling, Germany was more expensive as the Netherland, Danmark more than Germany, Sweden more than Danmark and Norway topped everything.
A DFL converted to about 2 to a Euro. The DKK is now 0.17 to a Euro, the SE and the NOK 0.11
I just found a 50 SEK note in my forein currency box, it is dated 1987. When I wanted to pay my groceries two years ago, the grocer looked at me as if I was paying with Monopoly money.
Well, they will react the same if you try to pay with 1987 DFL's here.
The most convenient Nordic country now, is Finland, you will not have currency leftovers afterwards.
Danmark is a pest in anotherway, debitcards are no always accepted, especially on Fano, where I will be at the end of this week.
