Sorry, I have no answer to your questions, because I have no knowledge of how and when Wards system creates these files.
What I tried to achieve, was to create a file that is identical to the files Ward distributes thru the file echos's. I was not aware of the daily that is available by FTP, until about two weeks ago.
That daily is certainly different, as the file has no copyright, prolog and epilog section. Another difference is that the daynumber in the line for 2:/2/0 is always 1 day behind when compared to the daynumber of the file and the content of the line is different as wel.
With these two differrences the CRC must be different. You can only rely on the files that are distibuted via the file echo.
Ward may explain why the FTP version is different when is back from his abcense.
