That is not a problem. I run a Openvpn server on a server with a dynamic address. As Torbjorn said, you need some type of dynamic dns service. I used Dyndns in the past, but I have local solution now.
If you want too keep your dns name for your server but now have to use a dynamic DNS service, you can set a CNAME to the dyndns name.
I used that in the past, the dyndns service accepted the IPv4 and the IPv6 address updates. so IPv6 was covered as well.
I use the VPN to connect to my systems whenever I am away from home, at the moment from Hiller°d. This enables me to access my systems for maintenance, E-mail and Fidonet.
The VPN server is of no use to the Fidonet servers I run.
