There is only one thing that annoys me, is poor maintenance of the nodelist.
I can appreciate that systems may have poor and unstable IP connections, or no IP at all. With the vastness of R50 the latter is not unthinkable. I can even understand when combinations of sneekernet and Internet Cafe are used to keep costs down.
I do not test for the availbility of a binkd-port of "no route to host"
But if hostnames return "hostname not found" daily then I think it is legitimate to ask if that entry is correct. Just as I think it should be o.k. to ask after the health of a network with, according to the nodelist, no IP addressable nodes.
