I run 2:280/5006 on a rpi B. The power supply is a wallplug, or the unused USB port of a nearby server. Storage is provided by a SD card.
I wave a rpi B+ that is housed in a box, that has a Lego compatible bottom and top. That should appeal to a Dane ;)
Stick a large baseplate to the side of your desk or to the wall and you have nice place to mount your rpi's.
