What makes you believe, that I have the enery to maintain an extra mailer, as well as extra hardware on my Fidonet host to serve one POTS only node?
Most of the hardware I use for POTS stems from May 1997 when I got a ISDN connection for 2:500/3. The Eicon 4M ISDN board I currently use as well, will not fit in a new MoBo and it is doubtfull that the successor of the current Mobo will have a serial port to connect a modem.
So you better start making contingency plans, or consider to be ready for finding an uplink in R24.
