I agree with you that currently sessions take about 2 seconds. But altough it is percepted as now, the problems Benny had, and caused him to collect the nodelist from my system, stem from around the last or the fore last time, when I distributed the nodelist, during your abcense.
You have upgraded your system in the meantime, and I doubt that you or I have logfiles from that period.
So I can only be gessing what went wrong then, based on what I saw happening on my monitor at the time.
I may be right, or I may be blowing hot air. Unless you still keep logfiles from way back then, neither of us can proove anything.
What I do notice, that current versions of Binkd send files first and tick files at the end of a session. I do not know if that has always been the case, but I am happy the way it is now.
