There is no binkd server answering at 40/0, 400/0 or 400/333. If he polls your system every two or three month, he has the reachability of a (very inactive) point on your system. So let him BE a point on your system. That way he can get mail without a dead listing in the nodelist.

Rush? The situation has been stable for at least two years. If a node does not respond to the listed methods of connection and the situation continues, it should be removed from the nodelist. That applies to all the nodes in R40.
