It is current practise. It is as Ward says, the possibility to have more than one update a day has been open from the very beginning of the project and it has in fact been done a few times. For both the dailylist and the dailyutf. I wonder why you call it a bad idea now, IIRC you were among those suggesting this possibility. A decent file processor should have no problems with it. Mine doesn't.
And no, please no more nodelst file echos. We already have four and that should be enough.
Update your file processing, so that it can properly deal with more than one dailylist a day.
