I just cleaned out the dust in my system last week. I do it at least once year. A trigger is when I start hearing the fan om the CPU kick in when the cpu load is heavy.
Normally that fan only kicks in when the ambiant temp is above 25 degrees. When it kicks in at normal room temp, I know it is cleaning time....
