Obviously Greece should never have been allowed to join the EURO. I am afraid there is no easy way tp correct that mistake. But I think it does illustrate that am economical union without a political union does not work.
Look at the USA. I am pretty sure that some states in the union are net contributors and some are net receivers. Does anyone in Texas ever complain about the money that flow from Texas to Alaska. Califonia was de facto bankrupt. Did anyone say California should be kicked out of the USA? Is the USA not an example of an economical and political union that does extermely well?
