Of the many things to do, this would be an easy managable task. So indeed, why not start with an easy one. It won't be such a big job, considering that the blue rectangle was never compulsory in the UK, and contrary to other EU countries, where the vast majority of cars have plates with the blue reactangle and yelllow stars, this is not so in the UK. The plates on the cars in "inspector Lewis" do not have them. It is another indication that their hearts and minds never were relly in it...
