On my first phone (Sony X2000 or something) I had three numbers; voice, data and fax. That was 1998. I thought I could use the data number for fidonet. But I never got it to work on the Sony. My second phone, an Erisccon SH888 supposedly had momem capabilities, but I never got thet to work either. My third phone a Siemens M35 also had 9600 modem capability. That I managed to make do dial up internet. Internet Explorer and Outlook express would talk to it, but not InterMail. Let alone that I ever managed to answer incoming fidonet calls.
And then came binkp and WiFi on the camping and I abandonned the Fido over GSM project.

Sometimes I wish it would stop working. That would be an incentive to get moving with IPv6...
