Hello Robert,

On Sunday April 16 2017 11:54, you wrote to me:

Nice diversion. But the point stands. If Scotlands really wants out of the UK, that is what will happen sooner or later, one way or another.

MV>> So why is Texas still part of the US?

RB> Maybe you missed it, but they seceeded from the Union during the Civil

Yet they are still in the US...

They are a net contributor. If they are so independant, what is in it for them to stay in the US?

MV>> Why do'n't the people in Texas get tired of Washington neddling in

Washington has not forced Obamacare on them? Whashington has not forced same sex marriages on them?

RB> So how would they go about that? Dig a trench between the valley and

Or build a wall. If Trump can build a wall at the Mexican border, surely Silicon Valley can build a wall at the Californian border?

WD>>>> The loser in all this will be the ordinary small people in the

RB>>> Don't we always?

MV>> "we"? Since when are "we" the small people in the UK?

RB> The term "we" - I don't suppose you noticed - was based on Ward's
RB> comment that the "orfinary small people" will suffer.

No, Ward specifically referred to "the ordinary small people in the UK".

RB> And as far as BREXIT is concerned, I think we in the rump-EU have as
RB> much to be concerned about that as those in the UK.

Not as much. Not by far. We will move on.

Cheers, Michiel
