In de analog days, when almost every country had its own TV standard, TV screens were advertised in the unit most used in the country were thet were sold. Nowadays, in tghe digital era, there are not all that many standards any more and the manufacturers do not have to makedifferent models for different countries. So they are advertised in cm and in inches. Maybe after Brexit the inches will go...
