You missed 2015 pictures of busloads of Sirian refugees being hauled around the Netherlands in panic to find an improvised sleeping place in a sportshal or other emergency shelter?
That was really a severe disruption.

We had former colonies too... I distinctly remember what happened in 1975 when Surinam became independant and HALF the population of Surinam came to The Netherlands before the Dutch passports became unvaild...
And before that we had shiploads of people coming in from Indonesia. And we still have problems with young males from the DUtch Antilles...
We had and still have our share of problems. And we can't blame Europe for that. Our colonial history is our own doing...
