LBJ a positive change? Many of my generation would disagree. Johnson was depicted here as "Johnson Molenaar" in anti Vietnam demonstrations.
For me and many others of my generation Johnson marked the end of the US unconditionally being the good guys. Of course wel will never know if that questionable honour might not have fallen on Kennedy had he lived to serve out his terms..
