On the camping in Pommereval in 1999, I paid the standard fee. As did everyone else. The owner earned in a week what he normally earned the whole season, by violating the conditions of his license and admitting 500 guests instead of the allowed 50 and happily paying te fee.
The USA obviously is not the place to go if you want to see a total eclipse...
