I am not 100% sure, I am not a lawyer, but I think such consumer protection is in effect in The Netherlands. Consumer protection goes pretty far here.

I try to avoid doing bussines with companies in countries that have crazy lawas. ;-)

I do not recall why the sysop running fidosoft.de suddenly quit the service. He had the decency to give a few days notice, but it then it was gone. I forgot his name.
