A sad state of affairs indeed! Keeping the nodelist accurate and up to date is the main task of the NCs, RCs and ZCs. It is a shame that so many *Cs utterly fail in performing their job. Apparently many are incompetent, have lost interest or have simply disappeared.
And mind you what NlCheck reports is only the top of the iceberg. It only reports the lines with missing contact info. When it finds a host name or e-mail addres, it does not check if it actually exists or if the node can actually be contacted using the listed information.
Perhaps Kees should run his script again. The one that checks if host names resolve to an IP number or if they return NXDOMAIN.
