The EU can move on to the future. Whatever it brings. Ups and downs are part of history and they will be part of the future as well.
RB> We still have BREXIT and Greece,
Bexit is a done deal. The hearts and minds of the remaining 27 have already left that behind, they have counted their marbles and are moving on. And Greece is out of the red numbers.
RB> not to mention the shaky economy of Italy and the refugee problem.
"Shaky economy" is a relative notion. Compared to some non EU countries it in top shape, And the refugee problem is manageable. And it is netheir something new nor something specifically linked to the EU. The refugee problem predates the EU and disolving the EU will not make it go away.
RB> Plus the ECB's zero percent interest rate, which is causing not only RB> savers to hoard cash, rather than invest it at zero percent interest, RB> but is now leading to explosions in bank fees for all sorts of things, RB> since the banks can't earn enough anymore by investing the money of RB> their depositors.
Again: this is is not an EU specific problem. Individual countries would have similar problems if the EU did not exist. The EU is a blessing in that together we are stronger to deal with these problems. Blaming the EU for every problem does not help to solve problems. On the contrary, without the EU the problems would be much bigger.
RB> We haven't seen the last of the EU crises yet.
