We speak Flemish which is a recogniwed cultural entity and language all of its own. Something like the Frysians. Dutch is the dialect of the Netherlands' province "Holland" which was promoted as their national language after they were kicked outa here in 1830.
The distribution is some 60+% Flemish, 30+% French and 1% German.
Do not associate us with the Dutch ... we pushed them back across the border in an area where they belong, behind the dykes and below seawaterlevel, where they're taking turns in plugging the holes with their little fingers.
