The back-up process for some odd reason skipped the NODELIST.042 when coppying with as result no NODEDIFF was produced yesterday ... the NODELIST.049-file in itself is OK.
This was going to require re-running of the MAKENL-job most like with different CRCs at the output as some segments had already changed ... probably causing some heartaches down the line.
However both Uli Schroeter and Kees Van Eeten came up with solutions to avoid that. Uli has developed a programme which creates a difference-file when feeding it 2 different nodelists and he delivered that nodediff here. I looked at it and it is OK.
Kees on the other hand now operates a backup nodelist mirror site and we can hot-swap between bot systems in case of trouble. For example Kees ran the nodelists 2 years ago during my Covid19 hospitalisation and in the meantime we tested hotswapping without telling anyone ... so Kees didn't have the glitch I had and therefor has a valid NODEDIFF.049. He sent it to me and I compared it to Uli's work ... spot-on to the last bit.
In the meantime, a winterstorm severely damaged the roof of my house and my attention at the moment is shifted elsewhere. So this is the solution which is going to be offered for people needing a nodediff (remember, NODELIST.049 was distributed and "is" OK)...
* Kees is going to release NODEDIFF.049 via the normal distribution channel
* Both NODELIST.049 and NODEDIFF.049 can be downloaded from my FTP and HTTP site ...

Next Friday there will be a double watch to monitor events.
At this moment I would again like to encourage everybody to just use the Z2DAILY which, as the name it says, is issued daily and an error-condition can only exist for 24hrs (in theory).
